I’m an environmental engineer specializing in environmental health and sustainability.

But I’ve built a skill set beyond classical engineering through 20+ years of diverse experience, with positions and projects spanning leadership, strategy, communication, data analysis and research, writing to persuade, website architecture and more.

Writing - All Kinds

I specialize in translating geek to plain English. I love writing and editing copy that inspires action. I’m deeply experienced in writing web copy, science and policy studies that sing, and grant proposals that succeed.

Research - Executing Strategic, Goal-Advancing Studies

The right study, when compellingly communicated, can kick-start a stalled initiative or help leapfrog it to the next level. I brainstorm and execute data-driven science and policy studies. I’ve directed research teams for 10 years but also love wearing the researcher hat. You’ll find examples in my portfolio.

Public speaking & Being a spokesperson

One of my great joys is creating and delivering presentations that open eyes and minds and hearts. I give keynotes, educate policymakers, give media interviews, and help get the word out to people who need to hear it.
